Anna 'Annie' R. Edwards

On the service side Anne has contributed locally, statewide and nationally. Locally she has served as the Secretary of the Minneapolis Women's Bowling Association for the past five and one half years. She has served as league Secretary of the Gold Crown Classic League for the past eight years. She has held league offices in the Minnesota Masters, Maple Rebels, Honeywell Mixed League and Various other leagues. At the state level she has been a delegate to the Minnesota State Convention for the past six years and attended the convention for over ten years. She was the Host Director of the Minnesota State Tournament in 1999. She is a member of the Minnesota State Bowling Council and is currently 1st Vice President. Nationally, she has been a delegate to the WIBC National Convention for six years and has participated in the WIBC National Tournament for 31 consecutive years at the time of her induction. As of May 2005 she has participated in 36 tournaments. Additionally on the service side she has been a Junior Bowling Coach at Elsie's for fifteen years, squad organizer for the Minneapolis Women's City Tournament and the Minneapolis "600 Club" Tournament. Not only has Anne been active off the lanes serving the bowlers she has been an active participant on the lanes as well. Her are some of her accomplishments; she has won the Elsie's Lucky 13 Tournament, Honeywell Mixed Couples and Singles Champion (2 times), Minneapolis City Senior Tournament Champion, Minnesota State Senior Tournament Champion (2 times) and a Minneapolis City Tournament Doubles Champion in 1969-1970 with Mavis Simco (Tuttle) (HOF-1987). She was an original member of the Ladies Central Bowlers Association (LCBA) and a charter member of the GIIT Tournament Group.
