Arthur 'Art' G. Engberg

Art started bowling in 1902 at the old Conrad Alleys when he was 17 years old. Since that time bowling was a very important part of his life. In 1936 he became Secretary of the Minneapolis District Bowling Association and a member of the Tribune Classic Board. He often referred to the associations as his "labor of love". He was either a secretary or treasurer of almost every league he bowled in. Art bowled a 708 and a high game of 289 single game. His bowling average was in the 190's.
