Carl A. Fietek

Carl came up through the junior program in the Minneapolis area. He has participated in the local tournament scene for many years. Nationally, he has competed in the American Bowling Congress National Tournament and his highest finish is fifth place in the Doubles event with Scott Pohl. He has been part of the team that won one National Team Challenge and he has won three Minneapolis Team Challenges. In 1998 Carl had the honor of representing our Association locally when the Team USA Regional Finals were held at Brunswick Eden Prairie Lanes. Carl had a great showing and was selected to the Team USA and he won three gold medals and one silver medal in the Tournament of the Americas in Miami, Florida. Carl has won 12 - Minneapolis City Titles, 4 - Minnesota State Titles and 11 - Central Bowlers Alliance Title. In addition, he has 15 Greater St. Paul Association titles. Carl has many other tournaments wins to his name, Fargo Doubles Title, Garden Center All-Events title in Alexandria, Minnesota and the St. Cloud Kegle Doubles to mention a few. He was nominated to the Minneapolis All-City 1st Team 8 times and the Bowler of the Year for 7 of those years. He was nominated to the St. Paul All-City 1st Team five times. He has received the 'Award of Merit' for both the highest Average in the Association (twice) and the Highest Series once. Carl has 25- 300 games and 13 - 800 series.
