Carol J. Plumley
At the point of Carol's induction she was President of the Minneapolis Women's Bowling Association and has been in that capacity for the past four years. Prior to becoming President, she served as a Director and 1st Vice President. She served as Chair of the Finance Committee and Budget Committee for 16 years. She donated her time to the bowling booth at the Minnesota State Fair. She contributed to the success of the annual trip to the VA Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota for many years. Carol worked the Minneapolis Women's City Tournament for numerous years. She served as a volunteer to the US Olympic Festival in 1990 and the International Special Olympics in 1991. She was elected and served as a Delegate to the WIBC National Convention for 16 years and served as a Minnesota State Delegate for 12 years. In 1980 she was elected to the Minneapolis "600 Club" Board and served as a Director for 10 years. When the Minnesota State WIBC Tournament was hosted by the Minneapolis Association, Carol was there consistently working the check in desk. Carol was chair of the Memorial Service when the WIBC National Convention was held here in 1988. Carol has served the leagues she has bowled in as Secretary, Vice President and President. She bowled in the Cedar Women's Classic, Kid's Night-Out League, Apple Place/Koyonen Classic and the Cedar Classic. She has participated in 32 WIBC National Tournaments, 25 Minnesota State Tournaments and over 30 Minneapolis WIBC City Tournaments. She was a member of the Championship Team in the Minnesota State Tournament and was a champion of the Elsie's Lucky "13" Tournament in 1973. Her high game is 260+ with a high series of 635 and a high average of 177.
