Carol A. Zeder
Carol started bowling in the junior program at age 7. She has been a member of the Minneapolis Women's Bowling Association for 34 years Carol has devotedly served on the board since 1983 starting out as a director. In 1995, she was elevated to Second Vice President and appointed to serve as First Vice President in 2001. Her service to the association has been on the following committees: BVL, Hall of Fame, VA Hospital Trip, Finance & Budget, YABA, Legislative, Lane Certification & Inspection, Audit, State Fair Booth and finally the Food Shelf. She has even hosted the State Tournament. She also worked on the hosting of Team USA, the Olympic Festival and Special Olympics. She is currently Secretary and Tournament Director of the Minneapolis Women's Bowling Association "600 Club" and Tournament Director of the Minneapolis Mixed Couples tournament. Locally, Carol has served the needs of the bowlers by serving as league secretary of the Cedar Classic for 24 years, Vice President of Cedar Classic for 2 years and President of Elsie's Classic for 4 years. Carol has competed in nearly all the Minneapolis City tournaments as well as many State and National tournaments. Additional tournament participation includes the Peterson Classic, Alexandria Garden Center tournament and the St. Cloud Kegle where she was the Doubles Champion two times. Carol was the Minneapolis "600 Club" Tournament Champion in 1981. On the State Level, Carol has served as a delegate to the Minnesota State Convention, served on the Nominating Committee and served as a teller. Nationally, Carol has attended every annual meeting and luncheon because her interest and concern about the game of bowling is very high. She has been a delegate to the WIBC National Convention for the past 20 years. Carol's high game is 279 and her high series is 657. Additionally, her high average is 178.
