Dawn L. Thorkildson
In 1985 she won the Minnesota State Doubles Tournament with a 584 series. Then in 1987 she was the US Open Minnesota State Champion. Also in 1987, she was Junior Team USA State Champion. In 1988 at the University of Minnesota she was the Big 10 All Events winner with a 2,410 (12 games). 1989 brought her to another victory when she won the Team USA at Earle Brown Bowl. In 1991 she won the Minneapolis Women's Bowling Association City Tournament All Events Title with a 1,922 and the Doubles Title with Gloria Stiff when they had a 1,342 combined score. In addition she also won the St. Paul All Events Title. She won the Ladies Central Bowler's Association (LCBA) Bowler of the Year in 1987-1988 and 1990-1991. At the time of her induction she has won eight LCBA Titles. In the 1987-1988 season Dawn averaged 204, this was the high for the Minneapolis Women's Bowling Association and the state of Minnesota. She was nominated to the St. Paul All City 1st Team twice (1990-1991, 1995-1996) and the 2nd Team twice (1992-1993, 1996-1997). After her induction, Dawn held the St. Paul Women's Bowling Association High Average Crown twice (1995-1996 with a 224 average and 1996-1997 with a 207 average). At the time of her induction her high season ending average was 216 and her high series was 783. Dawn went on to have two 300 games (9/6/1994 and 2/17/1996).
