Donna Marie K. Hoiosen
Donna has a resume that demonstrates her commitment to the bowlers over the years. She was inspired by Gert Finke and Rosy Vigness. Donna was a Certified Coach in the Young America Bowling Alliance (YABA) and served as a Delegate to the local, state and national YABA workshops. She served as Recording Secretary for the Minneapolis YABA and Auditor for the Minneapolis YABC City Tournament for 10 years. In addition to this, she found the time to volunteer at other local and state YABA Tournaments including the National Coca-Cola Tournaments. For her service to the YABA, she was elected to the YABA Hall of Fame in 2002 for Meritorious Service. Donna was a Director to the Minneapolis Women's Bowling Association for 1986 to 2000. She served as chair or member of most of the associations committees. She was heavily involved in the BVL Tournament from 1986 to 2000. Donnas was a Delegate to the State and National WIBC Meetings from 1989 to 2000 and she participated in the National WIBC Tournament during the period of 1986 to 2000 as well and 33 National Tournaments in all. Donna was a member of the founding committee and saw the fruits of her labor come together for the first 500 Club Tournament. She served in the positions of Secretary/Treasurer and Tournament Director. After her 600 series, she joined the Minneapolis 600 Club Tournament and was a Director for five (5) years. She would have been seen at the State Fair Booth, Olympic Festival, International Special Olympics and other tournaments as referenced above serving the bowlers. She started bowling at the age of 25 and was a sanctioned bowler from 1969 to 2002. Her high game was at Lariat Lanes with a 254. The high series came at Nokomis Lanes with a 610 and her high average was 154. She was Team Captain, President, Vice President or Secretary/Treasure for several leagues over the years.
