Gary N. Arntzen

Gary started bowling in Duluth, Minnesota in 1959 at the age of eight. He was the first junior in the Duluth Association to shoot a 700 series. Gary carried a 195 average, which was a record at the time. He has competed in sanctioned league play for 45 years. In Minneapolis, Gary has one Minneapolis City Doubles Title with Leif Carlson (HOF 1998) and three Minneapolis Team Challenge Titles. He was on the Minneapolis All City Second Team in the 1999-2000 season. On the other side of the river, he has accumulated eleven Greater St. Paul City Titles and two St. Paul Team Challenge Titles. Gary has been on the St. Paul All City 1st Team in 1995-96 and the 2nd Team in 1999-00. Gary was on the MSC's 1st Team in 2001. He has six Minnesota State Association Titles and one Midwest Team Challenge Title. He has titles at Alexandria, Fargo, and St. Cloud. Gary also has a top ten finish in Louisville, Kentucky in the doubles event at the American Bowling Congress National Tournament. Gary is in the Greater St. Paul Hall of Fame and the CBA Hall of Fame. Gary is the owner of the On Track Pro Shops, which are located throughout the Twin Cities, and he has generously donated many items to the Minneapolis District Bowling Association over the years. Gary has accumulated eighteen 300 games and four 800 series, with a high of 813. Gary's phenomenal 240.53 high average set the bar. This was formerly a state and St. Paul record.
