George E. Peterson

George has been bowling in the Minneapolis area for 33 years. He has competed in the Minneapolis City Tournament for over 30 years and 32 years in the Minnesota State Tournament. Nationally, George has competed in 32 ABC National Tournaments. He has 4 American Bowling Congress National Tournament Titles. They are 1984 Team and Team All-Events Titles and 1985 Team and Team All-Events. George has 2 Minneapolis City Tournament Titles, 5 Minnesota State Tournament Titles and 10 Greater St. Paul Association Titles. George has been the St. Paul Master Champion twice and has 5 titles in other tournaments including, the Hoinke Classic, Midwest Senior Classic, St. Cloud Kegle and the Tri-State Tournament in Rochester, Minnesota and one Central Bowlers Alliance Title. George has been on the Minneapolis All-City Team 3 times and the Greater St. Paul All-City Team 4 times. He was inducted into the Greater St. Paul Bowling Hall of Fame in 1995 and the Minnesota State Bowling Hall of Fame in March 2004. He has enjoyed coaching and working with the juniors as well as instructing his peers. George has 18 -300 games, one 299, 3 - 298's and 8 - 800 series. He has a season high average of 236.
