Geraldine 'Gerry' K Lawrence

Gerry has many tournament titles to her credit including being a member of the Hanson Service Team rolling 3,194 in 1971. This was the highest in the nation that year and Gerry contributed 653. They followed that up in 1972 with a 3,105 series, placing them second highest in the nation. In 1958 in the Minnesota State Tournament in Rochester, Minnesota she bowled with the Pine Tavern team that won the Team Title with a 2,776 actual series. Also in the Minnesota State Tournament, in 1963 she was bowling with the Golden Valley Lanes team they shot a 2,883 actual and won the Team Title. This event was held in Duluth, Minnesota. In 1961 she was a member of the team that place 2nd in the nation in the National BPA Team Tournament. She won the 1960-1961 Minneapolis WIBC City Tournament All-Events Title with a 1,809 and shared the Doubles Title with Evie Krause when the shot a 1,245. She qualified to represent Minnesota in the BPAA All-Star Tournament for two years (Chicago and Miami) and participated in two WIBC Queens Tournaments. She has competed in 10 WIBC National Tournaments. Her career high game is 280 with a high series of 747. Her high season ending average is 203 in the 1969-1970 season and this was the 4th highest average in the nation.
