Gordon 'Gordy' J. Larson

Gordy has been involved in all aspects of the game of bowling. As a volunteer, he has served the youth bowlers through AJBC and later YABA from 1957 through 1982. He was a league secretary for five years. He served the Bowling Proprietors Association (BPA) as an active member from 1969 to 1982. He has served the Minneapolis District Bowling Association from 1967 through 1969 as a Director and again from 1993 to present. He sits on the Minneapolis District Bowling Association Board of Directors. He has been a proprietor of several bowling establishments throughout Minneapolis with the most recent being Luxury Lanes (Airport Bowl). As a competitor, he started winning in 1952 at the Minnesota State Junior Championships by winning the Team Event. In 1956, he was part of the team that won the Rochester Tri-State Tournament. He won the 1959 Aquatennial Doubles Event. He has two Minneapolis City Tournament Titles with one coming in 1975. While serving as Captain of the F.R.Lien & Son Realtor team, they won the Actual Team Event with a 3,063 total. The other came in 1981 when he was part of the team that won the Handicapped All-Events Title.
