Greg started bowling at age 14 in Richfield, MN at Lariat Lanes. At age 18, he joined an adult league at Lariat Lanes, bowling in the Swedish-American League and the Lariat Classic league. His team was sponsored by Star Bowling & Golf.
Greg holds three (3) Minneapolis City Tournament Team titles, Three (3) Saint Paul Titles (one (1) Team event and two (2) Doubles titles. Two (2) Wright County Association Titles in Team and Doubles title with Brad Larson and a Doubles Title in the Tri-State Tournament in Rochester, MN with Doug Miller. He has a Garden Center top finish in Alexandria, Minnesota and a Kegle-Brau Team event title in Saint Cloud, Minnesota. Greg owns one (1) MSC Title as well as the rookie of the year and three (3) time 1st-Team MSC All-Star Team. He is a member of the Bob Hanson Classic League Hall of Fame and was MVP twice and won the highly competitive league ten (10) times over his career. He has the following additional titles; Legion Scratch All-Events, Saint Albert’s Team Event with Jim Lindquist and Roger Blad, three (3) Wright County Doubles titles, five (5) Bischoff Tournament Titles, one (1) Eau Claire CBA Sweeper, three (3) Nokomis Classic King of the Hill tournament and two (2) Rich Korth Tournament titles.
He holds a Minnesota State Record in the 4-man Team Game when they shot 1,154 at Texa-Tonka Lanes in 2013-2014 season. That score was the high in the nation as well for 2013-14.
He has participated in 28 ABC/USBC National Tournaments with a high finish of eight place in Team, 31 Minneapolis City Tournaments and 25 Minnesota State Tournaments.
Besides being a competitive bowler, Greg served as the league secretary for the Swedish-American League and the Nokomis Lanes Classic League. In the Budweiser All-Star Classic League he was a team captain for 1 year and served as a board member of the CBA and MSC for many years.
Greg has thrown 28 - 300 games. He has 5 - 800 series to his credit, with his high being 819 bowled at Texa-Tonka Lanes. His highest average was a 231 at Maple Lanes.
