Helma M. Bentley

Helma has been a member of the Minneapolis Women's Bowling Association (MWBA) for the past 46 years. She has participated in nearly all the Minneapolis Women's City Tournament's as well as the state and national tournaments. She also participated in the local, state and national "600 Club" tournaments. At times, Helma belonged to as many as five leagues in a season and she still bowls in two leagues a season. On the local "Bowlerama" TV show, Helma was a champion several times. She participated in the Peterson Classic, Elsie's Lucky 13, the Alexandria Tournament and the Kegle Tournament in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Helma has attended most of the annual meetings and luncheons, not as a leader but because she was interested and concerned about the great game of bowling. (an interesting note about Helma: she has kept records of all her bowling scores in all her leagues for many years. Not just the scores, but the whole game. She probably has more records of her bowling games that anyone has kept.) Helma has posted a high game of 279 with a high series of 665 and a high average of 184.
