Lorraine C. Joyner

Lorraine was a huge promoter of bowling, especially in women's leagues and junior bowling programs. She also helped establish the traveling league and after school programs. She was co-owner of Joyner Lanes in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota from 1957 until 1975 and then in 1976 established Monticello Lanes in Monticello, Minnesota. Loraine was an organizer of the Gold Crown Classic League. One of the first premier scratch leagues for women in the area. Her honors include the 1978 WIBC National Team Event Championship and the Minneapolis Women's Bowling Association City Team Event Championship. She participated in 16 WIBC National Championship Tournaments as of the point of her induction. She was a regular participant in the local association meetings. As a bowler, proprietor and organizer her life revolved around bowling. She was a huge credit to the bowling industry.
