Lynn M. Larson

Lynn's bowling resume demonstrates how devoted she is to serving the bowler. Locally, she has served the Minneapolis Women's Bowling Association in the capacity as a Director since 1990. She served on the following committees: Nominating, Audit, Banquet, Junior Bowling, Scholarship, Awards and Tournament Sales. She was a volunteer for many bowling events held in the Twin Cities including the State Fair Booth, US Olympic Festival, International Special Olympics, US Amateur Championships (Team USA) and the Women's US Open. She was a league secretary for over 30 years. She served the State YABA as the First State Secretary-Treasurer and held that position for 14 years and the Instate Coordinator for 10 years. This responsibility entailed all the coaching clinics throughout the State of Minnesota. She has served on all but one committee for the State YABA. She has been a member of the Minnesota Bowling Council for 24 years and she is currently serving as secretary, a post which she has held for the past 14 years. She has served this organization on the following committees: State Fair, Nominating, State Jamboree, Bowlers Night at the Dome, Bowlers Night with the Timberwolves and the Star of the North Games. Lynn has been the Sports Director for bowling for the Special Olympics in Minnesota since 1991. Nationally she has served the YABA since 1984 on committees and taskforces as requested and has been a chaperone to the NFL Super Bowling Championships held in Hawaii in 1987 and was selected by the National YABA as one of the five youth coaches from around the country for the national finals. She has been an AJBC/YABA Certified Coach Instructor for 22 years at Lyn-Del Lanes. Lynn was inducted into the State Bowling Hall of Fame in April, 2004. Most recently Lynn was a member of the Transition Board for the newly merged associations of the men, women and youth associations which is now the USBC.
