Mervil 'Merv' J. Meyer

Merv helped coach junior bowlers for over 20 years. He also helped the blind bowlers. He served the 78th Street Merchants League as Secretary/Treasurer for 36 years. He was a member of many League Championship Teams dating back to 1959 and received numerous high average and high game awards over the years. Merv was the 1969 Singles Match Game Champion at Cedar Lanes, compiling a 217 average. He competed in many local and state bowling events throughout his career. His high game was 279 and a high series of 742. He held a high average of 202 and he converted the 7-10 into an award.
