Ruth 'Babe' A. Olness

Ruth was a member of the Minneapolis Women's Bowling Association (MWBA) for 45 years. She served on the Board of Directors for 25 of those years and she was awarded with becoming Member Emerita in 1995. Babe was an active volunteer and she donated her time as a scorekeeper for the city tournament as well as many other events, including the Olympic Festival, Team USA Championships and the National Coca-Cola YABA Tournament. She participated in as many tournaments as she could. She even bowled in the TV show "Bowlerama". Babe has one title with her long time friend, Helen Marrinan when they won the Doubles Title in the Minnesota WIBC State Tournament in 1964. She had participated in the WIBC National Tournament for a total of 27 years.
