Thomas 'Tom' J. Condon
Tom bowled in leagues in 1947. He really started in bowling in 1937 when he set pins by hand at Hopkins Lanes. Leagues he bowled in were the Hopkins Commercial League, bowling for Milbert's team, and the Hopkins Merchants League, bowling with the NW Bank and VFW Club 425 teams. He was secretary of the Hopkins Merchants League for 20 years. He started volunteering his time with the Minneapolis District Bowling Association in 1960 as a Director. He served as President during 1978-79. He became a life member of the American Bowling Congress in 1980. Tom also used his spare time as a volunteer for bowling activities in the area. Some of those who benefited from his time were the International Special Olympics and the USA Team Trials. His highest tournament finishes are a 1st place team event in the 7th District VFW Tournament in 1988 and a 3rd place singles finish in the State Legion Tournament. Condon's high game is 257 and a high series of 683. His high year-end average is 181.
