Thomas 'Tom' M. Donnelly

Tom began bowling in 1949 at Lowry Lanes and EZ Lanes in Minneapolis. He was a member of the first junior bowling league in the state at Lowry Lanes. He continues to be involved by coaching junior bowlers. Tom was a team player in several classic-bowling leagues beginning in 1959 with Baden's Bowling Center in Richfield, Minnesota. Many fine young bowlers were in the Minneapolis All-Star League, one of which was Tom. While bowling in the top leagues in Minneapolis, he was a member of such league championship teams as Cy's Men's Wear, Seven-Up and Moser's Body Shop in the 1970's and Thunderbird Motel, New Hope Bowl and Tryggs Realty in the 1980's. His tournament titles include championships in Elsie's Lucky 13 in 1968 and 1970, Cumberland, Wisconsin Singles title in 1988, Central Bowlers Alliance (CBA) Doubles title in St. Paul with Ken Worm (HOF 2001) in October 1987 and a Midwest Senior Classic Title. Tom has been a member of teams that have won the major team tournaments in the state including Alexandria, St. Cloud, Hibbing and Fairmont. He was a member of the team that won the Minneapolis City Team All Events Title with Thunderbird Motel and Grain Belt Beer. He has competed in 10 American Bowling Congress National Tournaments and has two 1,800 all-events. His high game is 300 and series is 780. Donnelly has a 216 high year-end average.
