William 'Bill' Baden

Bill qualified from all facets of bowling. He has been President of both the Minnesota and Minneapolis Bowling Proprietor's Associations. He has one sanctioned 300 game, two others in exhibition, 13 in all. His league high series was 781 and he once shot an 857 series. Bill was with the State champions three times, and with the City's best team twice. He won the Minnesota State Tournament Singles Event in 1961 with a 699 series and shared in the Doubles Title with Clyde Hobbs in 1965. Bill was part of the Minneapolis City Tournament doubles pair, winning back-to-back years in 1957 and 1958. In 1957 he won with Jim Whalen (HOF 1967) and in 1958 he won with Jerry Peterson (HOF 1986).
